Classical music risks becoming isolated within a rigid, aging echo chamber unless the format itself evolves to capture contemporary attention and cultural relevance.

Originally operating as a traditional, single-medium classical music festival, the organization wanted to face a critical institutional challenge: captivate multigenerational and multicultural audiences by bridging the gap with a modern, tech-forward Silicon Valley demographic while continuing to sustain veteran audience patronage.

Through effective collaboration and trust with the board, leadership and founder. I was able to demonstrate that high-stakes innovation and legacy preservation can coexist through rigorous operational design and creative vision.

  • As the Executive Creative Producer, I conceptualized and executed a high-stakes transformation of the organization’s flagship experience. I spearheaded the complete programming pivot by shifting the festival beyond pure audio performance, introducing state of the art multidisciplinary elements including digital media, visual art, and projection mapping while harmoniously integrating traditional folk elements.

  • Initiated proactive cold outreach to San Jose State University's CADRE (Center for Art and Digital Research and Expression) faculty, building a localized talent pipeline to source, vet, and integrate innovative digital media artists and alumni into the festival programming.

  • Managed the full lifecycle from intricate pre-production logistics and execution—handling talent, sponsorship outreach, budget planning, contract negotiations and vendor relations.

  • Replaced a legacy framework by unifying four distinct, specialized stakeholder groups into a single, cohesive live environment.

  • Cultivated over 35 new collaborative partnerships in and relationships in less than 3 months with local organizations, community leaders, and funding bodies.

  • Curated a high-trust space that allowed high-profile talent, veteran patrons (VIPs), and technical partners to collaborate effectively

  • Designed the hybrid elements of the large-scale event, ensuring that every touchpoint—from on-site physical activations to digital media.

Revamp Operational Model:

Primal Reboot redefined the community’s relationship with the organization, proving that tradition can be a launchpad for building new, diverse audiences.

  • Successfully scaled overall annual festival attendance and executed objective to modernize institutional classical music concert frameworks. The main goal was to make it culturally relevant, visually arresting, and accessible to entirely new demographics who previously felt alienated by traditional concert settings, while simultaneously fostering a high-touch, inclusive experience for legacy stakeholders.

  • Established a replicable blueprint for engaging multicultural and multigenerational audiences through cross-disciplinary collaboration proving that creating risk-taking paired with rigorous operational production can revitalize legacy formats.
